Just joining the handstand party? Then you need videos #1 and 2. I covered really valuable items most people aren’t doing with their free-standing handstands.
I realize that many of you who want to continue practicing on the wall for your handstands might be doing so because there’s at least a teensy bit of fear about falling when you practice free-standing. I GET IT. I have those moments too when my gymnastics coach steps away from his ‘spotter’ position, and says “ok, on your own now.” ugh.
There’s 2 issues relating to why some folks get freaked out about trying free-standing handstands:
1. They don’t know how to bail out if they start falling. (I show you exactly how to do that in the viddie)
2. They don’t know what it’s going to feel like to be upside down and then get right side up again. (I walk you through my mental strategy that fixes that….it’s sooooo cheesy, but it friggin works to get your brain to re-frame things & stop thinking about the fear).
So here ya go, a quick 3 minute vid to continue the work of fixin’ up your pretty little handstand.
