Many gifts are about to be exchanged & hopefully they come with batteries so fun can ensue on Christmas morning! Remember though that the best gift to give anyone (here comes the corny holiday message!) is that of optimal personal health.

Giving your time to your family? You will give them so much more if you are optimal, well, & fit.

Giving time to your dreams & passions? You’ll achieve them quicker & with more ease if you are strong, slim, & healthy.

This weekend, you may meet up with friends & family who need to here this same bit of news. Don’t let the holiday pass without addressing the elephant in the room in a kind and caring way. If you have a loved one who could be living life so much better by doing a little something for their health & wellness – tell them!

You care about them right? Then you need to tell them when you see something that they could do better at. You don’t have to be a self-righteous queen or king of the fitness world – but you do have to be loving friend, sister, mother, son, uncle, whatever you are to that person & talk about leading an optimal life together – even if it’s from 1000 miles away after you leave to return to your hometown.

We are a nation of “hands over our eyes, if I can’t see you, then you can’t see me” mindsets about our health & wellness. A majority of Americans polled in a Framingham study did NOT recognize their actual weight marker i.e. they were obese & did not see that in the mirror. Whether knowingly denying it or unwittingly hiding from the truth, we are where we are for a reason.

Take this holiday to talk with a friend or family member about being optimally healthy & well together. The end result will be so worth it – and the gift of oneself to others & of ones’ health to themself will grow exponentially!

Feel free to share this site with anyone you’re talking with over the holiday & contact me directly if you have questions or concerns about where to begin.

Happy Holidays!! ~Kate
